Hi I’m Avalon…

I’m a mid-twenties California girl – who’s called one town home forever.

San Diego.

This is my story.

I am an only child which makes me stubborn and spoiled, but as long as you know what I like and understand that I’m always right we can get along!

I come from a loving family that makes fun of one another, laughs, and doesn’t take themselves too seriously. My parents are my children. My mom is my rebellious teenager who means well and my dad is my mischevious grade-schooler with a big heart. I love them both very much and owe everything I am to their constant support as well as their unconditional love.

I have great family, friends, and the best boyfriend.

I have always hoped to find a gentlemen to settle down with.

And after too many self-centered California men, I found a guy who was raised right from Ohio.

This is Andy.

We met on Match.com (I know right?) and have been together for four and a half years.

We moved in together February 2012 and while things aren’t all romance and honeymoon, we love each other whole-heartedly.

We aren’t totally grown up yet. And we don’t want to be.

I have never actually fully grown up. I’ve tried, it’s hard! I’d like to say I can be an adult when I need to be… I just dont want to.

I’m still trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up, but I feel like I still have time to decide.

Well some things you should know…. 

I love to write, document my life, and tell stories. I believe it’s healthy to laugh at yourself. (Refer to the first paragraph and you will see where I get it from). I try to be witty and most of the time I’m sarcastic, but if you get to really know me it’s all in fun. It’s my goal to be a real-life Loreli Gilmore. I live by the standard of doing what makes me happy and not worrying about what anyone else thinks. I believe every woman should spend hours on Pinterest and can never get enough chocolate or chick flicks. (Doing all these things with other women is highly recommended as well).

I have a passion for event planning, travel, cooking.. really anything creative. I am a supporter of all things creative and can find art and beauty in absolutely everything. That’s what drew me to blogging to begin with.

Oh yea, and I am a compulsive list maker…
